Housing association & public sector staff
The housing sector and welfare benefits system is changing. So, due to interest from our housing association partners, 3D Change has created various courses to help practitioners, community investment officers, and development officers to get their residents into employment.
Our courses for housing associations and public sector staff cover many areas, including:
-
Employer engagement
-
Effective employer engagement strategies
-
Recruitment of job brokerage teams
-
Broker performance coaching and development
Job brokerage, for example, has been an area that 3D Change has excelled at when imparting knowledge to our clients. The Employer Engagement and Making Contact workshop trains teams to more effectively engage with employers, in order to get the results you want. By implementing our job brokerage experience from successful ventures such as the London Jobs Fair South, and the Brighton Your Futures event, we’ve been able to help housing associations and public sector staff broker their own job opportunities with the right employers.
Training and development
3D Change worked with Hexagon Housing on the Home Business Champions project. Involving a ‘Dragons’ Den’ type format, 3D Change sat on an interview panel to identify the residents who should win the grant and mentoring opportunity, to further develop their business. We assessed various business plans, to see which candidates had the potential to move forward with their chosen venture. One resident has now set up her own catering company, which has really gone from strength to strength, and demonstrates the positive effects our training and development courses have had for both young people and the housing association.
