Equality Impact Assessment E-Learning Course
This course has been specifically developed with the Disability Equality Duty in mind. In accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act, Public sector organisations have a duty to ensure that all their policies and procedures include disabled people. As a consequence all their policies and procedures need to be equality impact assessed and appropriate measures taken to ensure that disabled people are not discriminated against.
The course is an effective working tool for Public sector managers and will help them to perform their General and Specific Duties. It identifies the initiatives/actions you and your organisation should consider when drawing up and implementing your Disability Equality Scheme (DES).
With its unique interactive coaching method by the end of the course managers and policy makers will be able to:
- Understand the Disability Equality Duty (DED)
- Understand their general and specific duty under the DED
- Implement a Disability Equality Scheme
- Conduct an Equality Impact Assessment
