Disability and Your Business

All organisations and businesses with the exception of the Armed Forces have a duty to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). It is essential that you and your staff know how to respond.

The DDA requires employers and service providers to make appropriate and 'reasonable adjustments' to allow employees to work more efficiently and without substantial disadvantage. There are numerous risks to doing nothing but many benefits of taking positive action now.

Good practice with disability is not just a “tick in the box exercise”. When it comes to Disability Legislation and the DDA “reasonable adjustments” may need to be made which can include physical adjustments as well as people's behaviour toward disabled people. 3D Change recognises that some businesses need help in order to fulfill their legal obligations and tap into the valuable skills base which people living with disabilities have to offer.

3D Change can benefit your business by showing you why you need to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and help you to manage and minimise risk by showing you how to comply with the DDA.
